The following COVID guidelines apply to all SCTCC staff and children:
Children or staff with COVID-19 symptoms or who test positive for COVID-19 must isolate. If children’s symptoms occur at SCTCC, they will be kept in a separate yard with a staff member until they are picked up by their parents.
In order to return to SCTCC:
1. Child or staff member must be symptom free for at least 24 hours, and fever free for at least 48 hours (without the use of fever- reducing medications);
2. Child or staff member must provide a negative PCR (not rapid) COVID test,
a healthcare provider must provide documentation that the symptoms are typical of an underlying chronic condition (e.g., allergies or asthma)
at least 10 days must have passed since symptom onset.
All children or staff who are exposed (less than six feet for longer than 15 minutes in a 24 hour period) to someone who is COVID-19 positive must quarantine for 10 days.
We recommend testing 5-7 days from last exposure (but will not shorten 10-day exclusion if negative).
Asymptomatic close contacts must continue to self-monitor for symptoms through Day 14 from last known exposure.
Any onsite exposure may result in the closure of the Toddler Center until staff and children can safely return with the above guidelines.
(Unvaccinated) children travelling by air, or returning from travel out of the state/country must quarantine for 10 days, or 7 days if test negative 3-5 days after travel.
